Birdham Bound

 

Before moving to Bristol some 6 years ago, Margie Bushell and her husband Tim had lived at Birdham near Chichester in Sussex. What better idea then, than to revisit old friends and bring a choir along with you!

            

 So, an Away Weekend in Birdham, West Sussex was organised in June 2016 with 19 WS singers and 7 other halves enjoying Sussex by the Sea.  We began by meeting on the Friday evening, in torrential rain, at the Boathouse Restaurant.  We sang in a Saturday evening concert with the Birdham Village Choir in St James' Church and also contributed two anthems during the service at the church the following morning.  Our weekend was rounded off with lunch in Chichester Yacht Club.
