2006…a ‘normal’ year!

 

In 2006 , we held our Easter Concert at the Westbury Methodist Church when the main work was Faure’s Requiem. Three Bruckner Motets were also included in the programme which were most beautiful but caused a lot of heartache for our Musical Director. Kate Anstey in her married role as Kate Warr was our soloist.

 

The summer term saw us undertaking a rather strenuous social event – walking on the Malvern Hills – but with a social pub lunch for those who didn’t need the exercise. We also sang at the Westbury Flower Show in the Village Hall in September.

 

Two of our members, June and Len Hall, are keen supporters of St Peter’s Hospice and so our Christmas was held at the Sacred Heart Church, Henleaze in aid of that charity.
